Though the ex-lovers are coming together for the film, they won’t be sharing screen space
Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan last shared screen together in Jab We Met (2007). The couple, who were dating for five years and broke up during the making of that film, never acted together after that.
Recently, it was announced that the duo will be seen together in Udta Punjab. In an interview Shahid admitted that it was he who recommended Bebo’s name for the film. The news was welcomed by fans of the former couple. But according to an insider, “Shahid and Kareena are in the film but they are not paired opposite each other. And in all likelihood they will have no scenes together. It’s possible that they won’t even be present on the set on the same days.”
The film directed by Abhishek Chaubey is a gritty thriller based on drug trafficking in Punjab. Alia Bhatt is paired with Shahid. This is the second film they are paired in together, apart from Shandaar which will release this year.
