Just few days back, BollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will play Varun Dhawan’s elder brother in Rohit Shetty’s next untitled film. And now from what we hear, Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon have also been roped in for this project.
Yes, if a recent report in a daily is anything to go by then Katrina has been signed for the lead opposite SRK, while Kriti will be paired opposite Varun.
If you remember, the media circuit was abuzz with rumours about Kajol being a part of this project. However, the actress squashed all the reports and said, “There is nothing to clear up about it,” when she was asked to clear the rumours at a recent event she attended.
And now with news about Katrina and Kriti having signed the film coming in, looks like the Chennai Express director is finally ready to make an official announcement, which we hear will be made next month.
However, when Katrina was contacted and asked about this development, she replied saying, “no”. But then there is no smoke without fire, right?
Anyway, it is also learnt that the makers are looking for a stellar supporting cast for the film as they need over 10 character actors. Reportedly, they will be seen in supporting roles, but they will have impactful parts to play in the film.
That’s not all. Now that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Tamasha, which was scheduled to hit the screens on Christmas this year, has been pushed ahead, word has it that Rohit might release his film on December 25.
Well, if the news is indeed true then Shah Rukh and Katrina will share the screen space for the second time. They were last seen together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, that also had Anushka Sharma and the audience simply loved the jodi.
